Lindy's Stamp Gang Color Challenge and DT Call

Today I'm sharing my tag for Lindy's.  Not only is it their monthly challenge, but they are having a dt call too!  I LOVE Lindy's products.  Everyone who knows me and my love for everything sparkly and filled with glitter knows I love to use mist sprays.  I discovered Lindy's several months ago and am slowly replacing my glimmers with Lindy's.  There is NO clogging at all, it's just a dream no aggravation of trying to fix a sprayer.  They make several types of sprays, embossing powders, color shots, and stains that you can add water to and paint with.  Visit their site, you won't be disappointed.

July 1st they had their very first color challenge.  The above pic is the inspiration.  Of course I have to give their dt call a try.  This is a company I really like, they stand by their product and take great pride in all they make.  In the following pics is the tag I made using sprays and embossing powder.  I hope you like it -

I cut the tag by hand with a template made from the packaging of G 45's embellishments.  It's a bit larger which I like.  The bird and letters were cut with my cricut, Home accents, and Plantin Schoolbook.  The cage was my bigz die by Tim Holtz.

Sprays used-  Lindy's Starburst Sprays Rudolph's Nose Red and Blue Hawaiian Blue. Embossing powders - Candy Cane Red,  and Byzantine Bronze.  The tag, bird, lace, and seam binding were sprayed, the cage and letters embossed.  I painted a flourish with mod podge then sprinkled some red micro beads.  I put some beads on a pin and stuck it right above the sticker, placed some star and fireworks stickers around.  A key from my stash was attached to the cage.

I love all things Americana and patriotic.  I get that from my dad :)  The Fourth and red, white, and blue inspires me all the time.

I hope you like it :)

Authentique Pride

Authentique is in my top 5 paper lines.  I just love them.  I made a Fourth of July banner with their Pride line.  Love this paper!  I used my cricut to cut the banners and the star, some distress inking and tore the paper, putting contrasting paper under some of the areas, lace in others.  I made the pleated flowers and placed the USA on top of them.  The stars were cut from red cardstock, sprayed with tacky adhesive and glitter put on top.  I tied the ends with May Art ribbon (love!) and in between the U and the A I put a red wood beed to separate the pennants.  I kept it on the simple side just a few stickers from the line for embellishment.  Here are pics -

Hope you like it :)

Birthday Gift Projects

For my friends birthday I made her an altered cigar box using Bo Bunny's Gabrielle Unwritten and Timepiece Villa collections.  I also made her a little journal that I altered from one I bought at the 99 cent store.  I used Graphic 45's French Country line and some kraft paper, and then some tags with Once Upon a Springtime and Secret Garden line.  I think she liked it, when she opened it she was saying "you didn't, no you didn't."  So I was happy :)

Here are pics -

The little inserts in the cigar box are from Prima printables.  I used my cricut for the butterflies and of course stickles and mists.  I dipped the rooster on the journal in my utee pot so he'd pop, my hubs said that would look better and it did :)  Flowers my stash, ribbon and distress inking for finishing touches.

I really need to be more diligent in my product listing.  I find it so tedious though, blah.  Gotta get with the program...
